My Story
Hello! My name is Tara LeClaire, I am the founder and CEO of Tara LeClaire Weddings. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me! I am an Air Force wife who's airman has now retired after 23 years of service! I have two amzing kids in college here in Charleston. My son is at CSU for aeronautics and my daughter attends Trident Tech for radiology! They both work with me at events and you will surely see their cute faces from time to time! I am originally from Richmond Hill, GA. and I have lived in Charleston for the past 13 years. A few years back a sweet friend of mine asked me to coordinate her wedding, knowing I had managed several events for the Air Force in the past. It was then that I fell in love with weddings! For 6 years I was a freelance/contract coordinator across the Low Country until I started my own company 5 years ago. Although I am a Georgia girl at heart, I have found my true place in Charleston! I love everything about this beautiful city! (Minus the traffic) I enjoy how each venue and wedding is so unique. My knowledge of Charleston and all it has to offer is why I now specialize in destination weddings to our beautiful city! No two events are the same, which is why I pride myself in being flexible to a couple's needs. It is my attention to detail and care that can make all the difference!
I love to work alongside the best in the business and that is why I offer a preferred vendor list to all of my clients! There are so many amazing vendors that sometimes it can be hard to narrow down the ones right for you. My preferred vendor list is a big help especially to those unfamiliar to the Charleston area. I am also great with couples on a budget! I can help find the right venue and vendors that best suit your needs. My passion for weddings shows through in my work, and I truly cherish every couple I get to work with. I offer packages from elopements to full planning!
